What the inline editor is
The inline editor is the screen where you can review and translate the texts detected on an Oxygen page without leaving the plugin panel.
It is useful for direct translations, quick corrections, content review, and maintenance of already translated pages.
How to access it
Go to Tools → WPML Oxygen Connector.
Locate the page you want to translate.
Click View strings or the equivalent action.
Select the target language in the available selector.
How to work with strings
Read the source text.
Write the translation in the corresponding field.
Use the filters to show only pending, translated, or modified strings.
Save the changes when you finish.
Review the frontend to confirm that the result is correct.
What to review before saving
That you have not left texts untranslated.
That the links still make sense.
That the HTML is preserved correctly if it appears in a field.
That shortcodes have not been modified by mistake.
That button texts are clear and consistent with the target language.
Tip
For small changes, the inline editor is more convenient than JSON export/import. For long pages or AI translations, the JSON workflow is usually more efficient.
