Why it matters
In some workflows, WPML or an import may keep a value identical to the source text. That does not always mean the content is translated.
If a Spanish string appears the same in English, for example, it should normally be treated as pending review.
What the plugin does
- The plugin tries to avoid counting an identical copy of the original text as a real translation when a useful translation should exist.
- This helps make the translation status more honest.
When it may be correct
There are cases where a text may stay the same: brand names, proper names, acronyms, URLs, or technical terms.
In those cases, review manually and decide whether it should remain unchanged.
How to fix it
Open View strings.
Filter by pending items or review texts identical to the original.
Write a real translation when appropriate.
Save the changes.
Review the frontend.
