What Needs scan means
Needs scan means that the plugin needs to review that page to update the catalog of translatable texts.
It may appear when a page has not been scanned yet, when the original content has changed, or when the saved status no longer matches what exists inside Oxygen.
Common causes
- New page created with Oxygen.
- Original text modified.
- Elements have been added or removed.
- Content has been imported.
- A template or reusable block has been changed.
- The panel has not yet updated the status after a recent action.
How to fix it
- Go to Tools → WPML Oxygen Connector.
- Find the page marked as Needs scan.
- Run the scan for that page.
- When it finishes, review the number of detected strings.
- Open View strings and complete the pending translations.
- Review the translated page on the frontend.
If it still appears
Regenerate the cache if the content does not update visually.
Check that WPML has target languages configured.
Check that the page really contains Oxygen content.
If the problem persists on a specific page, use Support data export and contact support.
